Memoir projects are completely private by default. Only you can see them until you choose to share them. You have three privacy options:
- Private: Only you can access
- Selected: Share with specific people
- Public: Visible to all Yaadbood users
When sharing with specific people, you can set their permission level to either "view only" or "can edit."
Yes! There are two ways to collaborate:
- Memoir Projects: Invite specific family members as collaborators with edit permissions
- Public Posts: Family members can comment and share their own memories
For family history projects, we recommend creating a shared memoir project where multiple family members can contribute chapters.
Yaadbood offers several ways to organize your memories:
- Chapters: Create and reorder chapters within memoir projects
- Time Periods: Tag content with specific eras of your life
- Locations: Add place information to your memories
- Research Notes: Keep private notes for each chapter
- Multiple Projects: Create separate memoirs for different themes or time periods
Yes, you can export your memoir projects in several formats:
- PDF document
- Word document (.docx)
- Plain text (.txt)
This allows you to:
- Create printed copies
- Share with non-Yaadbood users
- Keep offline backups
- Use your content in other applications
